Vinay Mulukutla (mercredi janvier 30, 2013 @ 15:35) The best DVD in the Learn To Play Metallica series by far. Apart from Wherever I May Roam (which is a fantastic song and i'm glad that it is included here at last) this DVD even more of Metallica's earlier thrash metal orientated hits (such as Seek and Destroy and For Whom The Bell Tolls) and epics (Creeping Death and Harvester of Sorrow). I've found that each volume has a unique selection of songs. With Volume One it was mainly Metallica's best known hits such as Enter Sandman, Sad But True etc.
With Volume Two, it was mostly thrash metal epics such as the devastating Master of Puppets and One and a couple of other hits that should have made it on the first DVD and now with this third installment it is mainly old school metal classics Metallica did starting out. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a fourth volume (alright, I know.I'm asking too much here), i'd say on the whole, you guys have the best part of Metallica classics covered in Volume 3. Andy does a fine job teaching all the riffs, solos and arrangements and as with all DVDs, does killer studio performances as close to the originals as possible. Its a must have DVD for fans of Metallica and old school metal.

Frank b (samedi mai 14, 2011 @ 09:29) Another nice one from Danny - who has a nice style as a DVD tutor. Coast to Coast is very good and achievable for the moderate player (though there are couple of fast runs but you can opt to play the Rudi part to get you through) Wind of Change shows what a well crafted song it is and there is something for everyone here: from the 'Little Wing-esque' intro to the acoustic chords and the fine solo.
Hurricane is a great riff and will be do-able for most.the solo is more of a challenge. Same goes for No One Like You. Henry F Korth.
Blackout, for me, is the one that should've been replaced with something else from the 'classic area' such as The Zoo or Big City Nights (just my opinion) If you're a Scorps fan and play then this is a good DVD that you'll definitely get something from.
